Upgrading to Windows 10 21H2 ISO to MDT - PART 2

Continuing with our MDT upgrade, part 2 will be adding the boot image to the Windows Deployment Services.

1. Log into the MDT Server and open Windows Deployment Services :

 

2. Mount the ISO image on the server

3.Open Sources > Select boot.wim 

 

4.  Right-Click on Boot Images > Add Boot Image :


3. Browse to the mounted location and select the boot.wim file and click on 'Next' :

4. Enter the name and description of the image and click ''Next:

5.View the Summary and click on 'Next':

6. Task begins :

7. Click on Finish:

 

8. View the boot image in the Windows Deployment Services window as shown:

9.It is important not to forget to restart the services :


10. That is done! Next is to configure the Deployment Workbench like in part 3.
